When COVID-19 hit, nightlife almost came to a standstill. Bars and entertainment venues became empty, were forced to stay closed, some were on the brink of survival or even closed permanently. The amplifiers were silenced, the dance floors no longer wore out.
What can a brand do in such a situation, whose natural habitat is the nightlife and the bars? The answer is clear: must try to keep it alive.
We asked 7 contemporary underground artists to design and create their own unique Jägermeister bottles that reflect the nightlife – using an 1L embossed Jägermeister bottle as their canvas.
The limited edition replica bottles based on the masterpieces could be purchased both online and offline.
Jägermeister created a fund from the entire income to support those who are out of work and working at night.
Consumers could decide which bar’s employees would receive the financial support: they could nominate their favorite bar via Instagram.
Jägermeister supported 140 nightlife hospitality workers from the HUF 20 million fund that was created from the income of the limited-edition bottles.
Meanwhile, the 7 artists each created a special contemporary installation using their uniquely designed bottles. The installations were exhibited in the windows of 7 underground bars in Budapest, turning the city into an Urban Gallery.
